Privacy policy

Last updated: 9 July 2026

HeyHuma helps companies reach the right people personally, under their own name. To do that well we handle a limited amount of personal data with care. This page explains what we collect, why, who we work with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.

Who we are

HeyHuma is the controller for the personal data described here. HeyHuma is a trading name; our statutory company and registration details are available on request.

Questions about your data are handled directly by a founder, not a ticket queue. Reach us at privacy@heyhuma.com.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to answer your question and prepare the work:

  • Details you send us through the contact form or by email (name, company, email address, and what the role is about).
  • Booking details when you plan an intro call through our scheduling tool (name, email, and the time you pick).
  • The content of our correspondence, whether that runs over email or WhatsApp.
  • Standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, kept in server logs and privacy-first analytics.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We process your data to respond to your enquiry and to carry out or prepare an engagement (performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before one).

We use aggregated, privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site, on the basis of our legitimate interest. Analytics that rely on cookies, such as Google Analytics, run only with your consent.

We never sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

Cookies and analytics

We keep tracking to a minimum. Plausible, our main analytics tool, is cookieless and stores no personal data. Google Analytics loads only after you accept it in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings in the footer.

Our cookie policy sets out each cookie in detail.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that help us run HeyHuma, and only as far as they need it. These include our scheduling tool (for booking calls), our analytics and hosting providers, and, if you contact us that way, WhatsApp. Each acts on our instructions under a processing agreement.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We do not keep data longer than needed. We keep the details from an enquiry for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless an engagement follows, in which case the terms of that engagement apply. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's settings.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict your data, to receive a copy in a portable format, or to object to a particular use. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Email privacy@heyhuma.com and we will respond within the statutory term. If you feel we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security and changes

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. When we change this policy we update the date above and, for material changes, we will make that clear on the site.
